Bags or jars?

I have both now... jars and bags... which do you like better?

I can just put the grain in the bag, pressure cook it... and then innoculate the bag, cant I? Does the bottom of the pressure cooker mess up the bag? Should I put something underneat it to keep it from the bottom?

Yes, it is likely that if you put the bag against the bottom of the PC it will melt (it can onyl take so much heat). You should have something keeping any kind of container (even your jars) off the bottom of the PC. Pressure Canners often come with a little raised plate that fits the bottom for this purpose.

I'm new to this but I will tell you right up that the jars work A LOT better... I innoculated 12 jars a week ago and two bags a day before that well anyway the jars are almost at 100% and the bags have little to no visible growth... Hope this helps you out.
