Smells of DOOM

Hey I was wondering if all contams have a foul smell. I birthed a cake that had yellow/hint of light orange that looked like just an excess of water- the jar did not permit a foul odor (although i was careful not to sniff anywhere close to them). Please help!

Normally bacterial contams have a foul odor but not all contams smell foul. Anyway i think your cake is ok, sometimes mycelium release a yellowish liquid substance, that's mycelium waste. Just wait and see, patience is a virtue.

often you cant smell mold until the cake is totally overrun. like he said, a foul smell usually indicates rampant bacterial infection.

Gotta agree with the above posts prolly is waste from mycellium happens when its been colonising for a long period ,might be wise to isolate it from your main chamber though an just observe for a while .MEW
