I'm new to mushrooms and need advice, I have taken them several times in the past two months and cant seem to get past a level 1. Just lase night I took 3 grams of dried cubensis and felt OK for about two hours but there was no visuals. I have had extensive experience with LSD so I know that this was not a TRIP. Currently I am growing some cubensis at home and was looking for advise on how much fresh cubies I should take. Is it true that fresh is more potent than dried?

You bring up a good point. A freind of mine took 5 grams dry several days ago and did not get past a mild stoning effect. Perhaps it was in the way it was grown. i've been looking on this site for some information reguarding this, but so far have come up with nothing.

I never get the visuals from mushies like the visuals I get from LSD. I don't get the carpet breathing or woodgrain flowing, colors just seem more intense and brighter.

I dont get the mind effects either, on acid yuo think that you can figure out the meaning of the world but that is not the case with the mushrooms. Am I in the minority on this

Alright...My friends cubies stopped growing about 2 months ago. Whenever we would dose it would be like 5-6 medium to small shrooms. Just picking them off the cakes, it's hard to determine the actually drug dosage because they're not dried. If you have access to Xanax or any kind of perscription mood enhancment drug, they more often then not inhance the trip and can take you really high on a reletively small dosage. But, for the first time on your own yield I would only eat a small to medium dose and find out the potency, etc. Hope I was at least a little help. Peace

I've noticed that the fresher the mushrooms are, the better quality of trip i have. The best trips i've ever had have been when i picked, weighed and then consumed the mushrooms straight away. Also, some of the more boring and uneventful trips i have had have been from old, and dried mushrooms, (even on really high doses to compensate for the degradation).
I think generally speaking, aswell, the older the mushrooms, the less visuals and more of a mind trip i have, whereas with fresh shrooms, i have the most visuals, and relatively less of confusing mind trip, ie, more clarity.
Just my experiences anyway, i think it is probably due to the change in psilocybin/psilocin ratios changing.

I agree, if shrooms are to old the would not do anything, eat fresh or dried but the have to be less than one year old and well preserved.

Hmm, odd. I've done LSD before, and find mushrooms to be better. I get a strong trip off of the reccomended dosage; 1 dried gram = level 1, 2 dried grams = level 2, etcetera. I've noticed the visuals are much stronger, and it may sound funny, but much more coherent.

I had the same problem, this weekend I had abot 4oz of shroomes with a mate
but there was no mental confusion very sutle hallucinations. Nothing to what i am use to. The strain that i got is EQ, i think they are weak compared to liberty caps.

Yes 4 ounces.  I find if i drink a few viles i don't get enough visuals either. mabey we should just eat and drink our body wait in shrooms and acid that would probably bring it up to a strong level 3

I have been doing shrooms for a long time mostly liberty caps I have found them to
give very strong visuals. But I have tried growin p.Cubes for about a year or so
but I have had no decent trip. I have just found them to be weak even at a high does such as 2oz fresh. So If I cant reach a level 4/5 trip soon then I am dumping this species for a stronger one.
So i am going to try one more time maybe I will try 8oz dont know yet 
Does anyone have any idea why my shrooms are so weak ?

Well I have only the P. Cubes to go by as I have never tried liberty caps. I would love to try them but they are not easy to get in the USA.

The BEST thing to do if you want to increase potency is not to eat before !
The longer you fast, the higher you'll go.
Easy and cheap !!!

i HAVE FASTED FOR AT LEAST SIX HOURS EVERY TIME I HAVE TAKEN MUSHROOMS, i ONCE MADE THE MISTAKE OF EATING ABOUT TWO HOURS IN AND IT BROUGHT ME RIGHT DOWN.

At least a week between trips (if you can call them trips) it was really just a bit of highlited colors and a cold tired feeling.

When I only wait a week, I have to double the dose in order to have the same effects !
Your body may build a strong tolerance, and you may have to wait longer than other people between each trip.
That could be the solution.
