I'm naturally hyper and nervous, so I almost always have to have something to keep my hands or mind busy... a lot of times I eat constantly since I have a fast metabolism and it all gets burned off. Sunflower seeds help keep my mouth and hands busy somewhat.

Well, I guess if you keep at it, that feeling goes away. Then you're just addicted.

ya i quit 2 weeks ago for 8 days, but started again cause i cant smoke anything else while im waiting on a pre-employment drug test... been smoking for 1.75 years now, so many different brands..
3rd day's the charm... then downhill.. its easy if u can stay distracted and busy
also, i find the more often you try to quit, the better you'll get at it... its almost like you become desensitized to the cravings

^^^^ VERY TRUE I had been smoking for ten years (10 a day) and it took me several years of trying to quit (patches, gum) but in the end what really made me quit was sheer willpower and logic, and health. was causing health(lung) problems, i had pneumonia twice in a year, bronchitis twice in 3 months!! doc told me if i kept smoking I'd have emphysema in a year MAX. so as i was already sick of cigs and found myself only smoking half of one everytime anyways(hated the taste by then) i just quit one day. I had a whole pack only smoked two and just fucking threw them away at a gas station and drove away!! 1 year later i have only had 2 cigs(and they made me hate them more each time) so i know i will never smoke again. THANK GOD!! I have done meth and dxm and been straight junkie on both of them and never NEVER was it that hard to quit EVER!! Cigs are the most addictive substance i can think of. We have a smoking ban here. I hope they make tobacco illegal someday!

Cigarettes do indeed suck.
They're tiny, bastardized imitations of true tobacco... cigars.

Best time to quit is right after something major happens in your life, I believe. You won't notice the withdrawal because you'll be going through a lot of shit from the event. Also, mentally it would be like you're moving on, and cigarettes are a thing of the past. You would associate it with the event that happened (a death did this to somebody I know) and just not have the urge to do it anymore.
