Is there anything that can bring you down from a trip? Mabye it goes bad or you just want to come back to reality. I had one bad trip and I stuffed the shit out of my self with food once I noticed it was going bad. It seemed to help. Anybody else have any ideas?

I personally find dancing, jingling keys, and laughing good ways to keep away a bad trip if i feel myself slipping into one....Dancing is really good soo is jingling keys...all from which i learned to do from members on the forum...thumbs up guys....Sometimes its just better to let go and let the trip take you where it wants tho...I personally try to keep it away tho

On my last trip I was having the most intense trip I've ever had and was kinda just buggin out... and my friend was talking me through it the whole time and then out of nowhere my peak just ended and I was able to talk reasonable sense. For a long time I was really really out of it though... was glad to have some sanity back.

Idk about bringing me down, but for uneasy/"bad" trips, I just find someone I'm comfortable with and talk with them, its seriously the best technique to stay on a good trip. Peace

I like to get an orange and eat it when the peak is too intense. eating an orange then is like the best thing in the world and helps bring me down to reality.

Well when ever I start to trip I always have atleast one of my thumbs in my mouth, If things get a little to intense I gently bite on them and It makes me feel better it's really weird but the reason I do it is from my first trip I have ever had.

ambien if you want to sleep.. if you stay awake you will get a lot of visuals and it alleviates the mental trip. took 10 mg to fall asleep after i started having negative thoughts... worked wonders. ended up staying up more and smoking

Benzos seem to work to calm anxiety. It is a total cop out and you'll learn more from riding out the experience; but if you are that desperate you can take a valium/xanax etc. and it should calm you down.
I had a major panic attack once while tripping which was related to some severe medical anxiety I have. Anyway it was a torturous full blown panic attack but I took a valium and all was well.
It won't completely kill the trip but it will eliminate or soften negative emotions.

Try not to attatch positive/negative emotions to whatever you're experiencing. That way what you experience becomes what it truely is - an experience - and not stuck on the good trip/bad trip perceptions

Watch any children's cartoon movie or television program. It'll feel like a warm blanket for your mind, seriously calm you down and distract you from whatever negative thoughts are nagging at you.
Go for a huge walk or jog. I usually find I get anxious and paranoid if I'm just sitting around not doing anything. I can walk for miles and miles and miles on shrooms. There's so much to see and everything is so amazing.

I've heard that sugar is supposed to negate the effects of psilocybin/psilocin. Might be true. Eat like five doughnuts and see what happens.

some folks find that a couple hundred mg of niacinamide or inositol hexanicotinate (but NOT straight niacin! makes yr skin feel hot!) can turn the volume from 11 down to a comfortable 2 or so...
sometimes just a nice cuppa (cocoa, or tea, or chamomile, or ginseng w/honey) can do wonders...
andfor the pharmie-folks --- well i'd druther do a bit of benzos (k-pins, valiums, ativan, whatever) than a phenothizine (thorazine, stelazine, etc.)(tho' some antihistamines (like phenergan) are closely related to to the anti-psychotic tranx!!!)
fruit juice, vit C...
standing barefoot in the dirt...
ooooommmmmmm...

All good remedies. I do remember when having a bad trip that when I talked to a good friend and told him I was freaking out I felt much better. It made the trip more enjoyable after that. I think eating food did dilute the effect, but may have prolonged it. Mabye, if I have another bad trip I will take a little of a benzo and get a better grip.
