I don't know for sure but I don't think so,Buy spawn bags you can use them for sure and they aren't that expensive,If you have to use something besides them maybe oven bags would work better but I doubt regular zip locks would be a good choice

Try oven bags. They can withstand very high heat, and can be sinched up.

Any grocery store should carry them. Look around your area and your bound to find them.

They should be in the same area as all the other cooking stuff at the store, sometimes by the Tupperware like thingies sometimes by the baking goods and such,If you don't see them just ask someone who works there and tell them you need them to cook a Turkey in for thanksgiving

Ziploc bags don't melt at pasteurization temperature.

The reynolds "Turkey Size" oven bags hold plenty of substrate and are only $1.19 (on sale at the moment, gotta love thanksgiving). Two of them in the box. Look for them next to the rest of the ziplock bags and aluminum foil. They work great for me because of thier size and availability, but like RR said pasturization temps shouldn't melt a ZipLock.
