As for recreation vs. spirituality, I think it depends on the substance. Many will disagree, but here is my opinion:

Recreation:
MDMA
Marijuana
Alcohol
LSD

Spirituality:
Mushrooms
LSD (yes, in both)
Ayahuasca
LSA-containing seeds
Mescaline/Cactus
Salvia Divinorum
DMT
Iboga

I consider these to be part of my religion, so I am offended when somebody misuses them. Does that make me stuck up?

To a Christian, it would be offensive if I went to church to try to get "crunked" off of the church-wine. That doesn't mean they are stuck up; it means they hold something sacred, and that even if one was to use a substance for a reason other than religion, they could at least do people some respect and have some reverence.

P.S. We're not all stoners here; I don't smoke.

Yeah, I think so.

Unless that person intends to offend you, in which case it makes you a little bit weak. People will punish themselves with misuse of the sacred.

i too have a very deep rooted love for the mushroom
and it does sadden me to see people using that sacrament i hold dear in a mannor much diffrent than me. but the mushroom itself is why i do not get angry and go out of my way to be preachy.
if you truly love the mushroom then nothing else should really matter

well, i don't think i'd keep coming back to this website if everyone acted like a dick to me. i never have a problem asking questions for advice on certain things, i've always had helpful responses, and i'm grateful for it.

i think i've read a few threads where there was some bickering and asshole-ishness going on, but i figure that's life. There aren't too many social settings you'll be a part of when there won't be at least one asshole in the room or a disagreement.

Dont worry much about anyone here unless they are not a total smartass(if they are, call them out if you like this place..lol). Lots of smart folks, lots of people who just dont ever change(dumb as a rock types, though some of them are quite funny).
I post about things I know alot about, yet im here for my own entertainment and still dont go out of my way to piss people off/make them feel unwelcome. If I feel it would be fun to fuck with someone who brought it on themself, I actually have fun being a know it all asshole. I try to avoid it though. You have to have a prerequisite to be treated badly by me.....

I dont care how other people use psychedelics for the most part. I do know most of the people I find to be the most informative and relevant to me, even if they are dyslexic. People I can talk to, or would even take advise from.

My being here for my own entertainment does not detract from what I have to offer. I do enjoy not being a smartass one-liner type though. Thats just not why I come here.... Im sure you know many people here are that way.....

Try to enjoy everyone. We are only dealing with text. Its pretty easy to pick out the intentions of the people who come to this site all the time. You dont have to like them.

I do prefer the "know it alls", but maybe thats because I know alot myself. This is a microcosm of the world. Everyone is here.

Most of what I said(if not all) you already know. Dont take offence because I just like to write when I get bored and Im mostly here for my own entertainment.

Ok, here is what I think. Tell me what you guys think. Some people just want to have fun with the stuff. These actually happen to be the people that need more help. And I can almost see his point of view. Sometimes we are a little rough on his type. But this is because they have the wrong approuch. Drugs like lsd are not for dumb people. Not that this guy is dumb, Im not saying that. Psychedelic drugs will bite you hard if you have no understanding. The posters that he discribed do exist. They do, but they are the minority. But when someone who just wants to have fun with something like psychedelics it draws them out. THIS IS THE WHOLE PROBLEM SUROUNDING PSYCHEDELICS: MISUNDERSTANDING. Weed is to get stoned. LSD and Shrooms are very powerful though and there is so much more to them that just fucking. It pisses someone off when you stuburnly want to just get high off them. LSD is something that changed the way I think forever dude. The high of LSD starts when the drug wares off for me. Yes the tripp can be fun. But dont you want to have more understanding.

PS: YEGEMAN, no one knows a lot. In comparison to what it would be possible to know, you don't even know .01%, or no where close for that matter. You may know a lot in comparison to other people, if that's what you mean. "speak in humility and much more can be realized once your eyes are no longer content".
