Your setup has the lower tub filled to the bottom of the top right with how many gallons? You may require a 150-200 watt to stabilize temps (thats what I've used). GL

I have about 10-15 gallons of water in it. I have the top container held down with cable ties so the water level goes up about half way up the side wall.

I did find that is stays a little more stable with a folded blanket on top of the lid, but still a little on the unpredictable side.

Only problem I see with a freezer or fridge is air exchange. Mold loves anaerobic environments. But I haven't tried it- I've just had a fridge get moldy as fuck from the summer in my garage.

If ya wanna punp aer itn ther, Ya jus git one them elictic drills, dril a hol in it, then put a metal cuter blade in yer jigsaw an ream that hoe out, any size ya wan, den jam a pipe inda hoe.
(agar's best OZARK accent)

Or, for a small of amount convection air exchange, cut a 1/2 inch strip out of the door seal, top & bottom. LOL

But, believe me........

Heat the inside of an upright (sanitized)freezer to 70 / 80F.

Nothing gets moldy.
(there are no nutrients for any mold to grow on.)

Incubating jars, bags & substrate all have gas exchange filters.

For the little stuff, I use a 24 cubic ft upright freezer as an incubator, and another as a fruiting chamber.

BTW, they don't look out of place in a garage, basement, spare room, or in a work shop.

On top of that, THEY LOCK & UNLESS you have xray vision.
Curious eyes cannot see in one.

You cannot say that about a Martha, or small indoor greenhouse.
