LAKE KATRINE — A Hyde Park man was arrested for allegedly threatening two Lake Katrine men with a steel pipe, the Ulster County Sheriff's Office said.
The man, 27, is accused of going to the Route 9W home in Lake Katrine Wednesday, refusing to leave and then making the violent threats.
Sheriff's deputies found him minutes after he fled, police said. The man faces misdemeanor charges of trespassing, harassment, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon and was released to appear in Ulster town court at a later date.
The Poughkeepsie Journal does not typically publish the names of those charged with misdemeanors.
City man admits he had Ecstasy pills
A City of Poughkeepsie man was placed on probation for five years and will submit to electronic monitoring for six months after pleading guilty to a drug charge.
Officials said Christopher Anderson, 33, was sentenced Thursday by Dutchess County Court Judge Thomas J. Dolan at the courthouse in downtown Poughkeepsie. Anderson pleaded guilty in September to fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
Anderson admitted he had about 15 pills of the drug commonly known as Ecstasy when police raided his North Clinton Street apartment in April.
