Photographing casings?

Howdy, just wondering if it is safe to take the casing(s) out of FC for photographing them in better light. There's no way I can get even decent pics while they're inside FC, not enough light =(
Also notice the scary looking mutant, two stems and only one cap
Full grow log coming most likely after first flush. (My first grow going on now, popcorn cased with pure verm.=

Yeah you can take 'em out for a minute to show their beauty to the world... The flash won't hurt anything. Remember, light is one of the pinning initiators, so it can't be all bad, especially a flash that lasts for less than a second.

The issue is not light It's contaminants, I cant stop wondering how much bacteria and unwanted spores there are in room air and what they could possibly do to my casings, hence the curiosity.
I guess I'll spray the whole room with craploads of peroxide and water before photographing, and also more opinions from the people who photograph their casings are welcome.

You can take them outside in the sun to take pictures if you want. Air exchange is the key to avoiding contaminants in fruiting projects, not clean air. It's to be assumed that your substrate/casing is getting contaminant spores all over it anyway because nobody's house or grow area is sterile. Just make sure they get lots of fresh air and don't worry about how clean or dirty it is, just give lots of it. RR
