horse dung with wood shavings??

My friend has recently located a horse stable who would be more than willing to part with their dung only the dung has lots of pine wood shavings mixed in with them. Apparently in boarding the horses they use the wood shavings for bedding in the horse stalls and the dung gets inevitably mixed it. Would there be any real problems using this dung or would the wood chips pose a contamination risk? Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated!! Oh he is planning on pasteurizing the dung too of course.

I add alder chips to my dung.
It should be fine just sterilize/pasturize properly.

pine is bad for cubes, you'd need to compost it for a long time before the oils in the pine broke down enough to allow cubes to grow on them.
