i live in ca, there are numerous cow fields all over my town...i have never gone and picked my own though, cuz i didnt know where, and what to look for....can anyone give me some advice?
...also if i pick some if i posted their picture on this site could someone i.d. them?

I'd suggest that you buy yourself some books about mushrooms. I'd recomend "Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World" by Paul Stamets and the Audobon Mushroom book. It can be dangerous to not know what you're doing.
