incolonating straw

does anyone have any suggestions on what is good way to incolonate straw using pf cakes. I want to try and make a corncob mycelium slurry but the first one i tried got contaminated. i am fairly new to mushroom cultivation and want to try out a straw tech.

You usually dont innoculate straw.

You spawn straw. Colonize a few pints/quarts of whole grain substrate and mix it in with the pasturized straw. You can spawn with PF-style cakes but it isn't as efficient.
