Tell that to the unsuspecting noobs who get torn to pieces for no reason because they make a post in OTD. Since the Pub has been around, OTD has been almost exclusively about exercising contempt for everyone in every manner possible.

I simply don't believe OTD is in danger. For the record, if it were in danger, I'd lobby for its salvation, even though I don't post there much anymore.

The OTD has been around longer than I can rememeber, though I do remember OTD actually being shut down years back. There was the same protesting I see now when that happened; after a while the Head Shroomery council realized shutting down OTD was a big mistake, traffic be dammed!
OTD is an itegral part of this site...

Wait a second, what's going on here? I have great respect for anno, he got me hooked on the shroomery when he posted about using tyvek for the first time back at the begining of the millenium. What's anno's beef with OTD? Is it creating an excess workload for him with no apparent purpose? Surely someone from this site would volunteer to help in order to keep OTD alive. With OTD we have freedom to fully express ourselves on this site, without it; well, we've seen what happens when we let our government infringe personal liberties...

This is true. There is a huge thread in the mod forum with heated debate over whether or not this is to happen. I, for one, am going to ask to be demodded and stop posting if it does happen.

I can't see the point in closing it down,, just make the warning clearer on the forum list or something..
It's just another board i read through occasionally,, it's kinda handy having it there for when ive read through all the other boards i go to..
I always thought it was a valid part to the site when considering that this site is meant for all types of people.
Plus there's some funny threads in there..
Ive recommended this site to afew people,, when i do i usually mention OTD..

The Shroomery needs OTD. Imagine those miscreants running wild throughout the entire site. At least with OTD we know where they are and we can keep an eye on them.

This whole OTD destruction situation is really bothering me.
Imagine if the bland lameness of the Pub was destroyed by marauding and malicious OTD'ers? What would happen to all of our Myspace threads? Our "Happy Birthday" threads? Sensibilities might be offended.
