Does anyone listen to Ambient music shrooming?
    #910978 - 09/26/02 09:54 PM (21 years, 6 months ago)

It's my favourite Genre, and I wouldn't be able to listen to much else, unless it was like Pink Floyd for example, but anyone have ambient music recommendations for me? And what do you guys like to listen to if you like ambient on shrooms?

My top 2 fav songs at the moment (1 song heard while shrooming, and one without shrooming)

1- One Ton - Supersexworld (Heard this song the first time I was on shrooms...come to think of it, this was the first song I heard my first time on shrooms)
2 - Soul DuJour - Here We Go Again (from M.C.Mario Mixdown 2002)

Great ambient songs if you ask me.

Coil is probably my fav, and Godspeed You Black Emperor. It's not entirely ambient, but it's got that weird, dark feel to it. Time Machines by Coil is definetely some kind of ambient.

Brian Eno is the creator of true ambient music and still the best.
check out stuff like 'music for airports' and 'apollo: atmospheres and soundtracks'.
Steve Roach also does awesome stuff like 'quiet music' and 'structures from silence'.
my fave Eno album for shrooming is 'another green world'. nothing beats it.

Boards of Canada isnt really true ambient neither is Aphex Twins SAW. even if theyre all awesome.

I love Eno, especially "another green world"

plus, if you rearrange the letters in "Brian Eno," you get "One Brain"... whatever that means.

If I am having a just music night it has to be ambient for a good portion of it. My favorite is to have a movie playing and muted with music in another room, it becomes a little otherworldly.

good luck

Time Machines by coil is absolutely incredible. The first cd has 4 tracks: 5-MeO-DMT, Psilocybin, DOET-Hecate and Telepathine. Also known as "4 Tones to Facilitate Time Travel".

ENTHEOGENIC SOUND EXPLORERS ARE PERFECT :mushroom2: FOR TRIPPING

THEY MADE 4 GREAT PSYCHEDELIC ALBUMS for DATABLOEM rec (and on iTunes)

THE CD IN WAVE FORMAT ARE BETTER FOR A SERIOUS TRIP

CHECK THEM OUT:

http://soundcloud.com/esesound

http://www.youtube.com/user/entheogenicexplorers/videos

http://www.databloem.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&manufacturer_id=274&Itemid=2

THE NEW ALBUM IS GREAT (here is the review):

Entheogenic Sound Explorers fourth and most consistent album so far, offering an hours worth of adventurous dubby, hypnotic ambient. With "Quarto" Stefano Contini & Piero Marchesi have made another step in pushing their composing and production skills to a higher level. The albums seems to tell a story, travelling through psychedelic landscapes with a sense of hope and being. Put on repeat and you will discover new paths with each listen.

PEACE & LIGHT

Dude, ambient music is my favourite music genre.

Try this :
Carbon based lifeforms - Hydroponic garden (full album)

or this
Vibrasphere - ensueno

If you like these, try them while shrooming  Universum connection guaranteed in my opinion.

One extra song:
Union Jack - water Drums

EDIT: just noticed the OP post is 10 years old. Good job, botha. Nice
