Id Request

Hi I am Regard from South Africa, I had my first mushroom in Scotland, and it was a very good experience, I picked these two specimens, and was wondering if you would be so kind as to confirm my findings.
Thank you so much. Regard
The habitat. I have a spot next to the pool a brick bedding. I dumped some wood chips in, and covered with riversand. Not for the cultivation of shrooms..
But this colony came up weeks ago. Our average daily temperature is about 27 degrees C and this spot is in full sun from 11 to 3 .. so these were sun dried where they came about
The first I found to be I might be mistaken but I have checked numerous sites. I think they are,
Picture attatched
Cap 850mm cinnamon yellowish edges , bits of veil present on the outer margin Flesh thick white Guils appearing pale white with yellow edges on the outer margin becoming darker towards centre of the stem a pie cut section reveals dark chocalate brown fudge colour Stem 12 mm thick soft centre white, with yellowish edges outer skin torn away to reveal yellowish white centre. semi holow white centre. Smell.. I know what the last good mushroom smelled like.. and these smell the same. cant check for bruises as the shroos were sundried.
2(dark colored) Cap 60 to 70 mm protruding center tan bits of caramel rust patches of dark brown to black Flesh none a thin skin before the guils start(pie segment cut from cap) Guills dark chocolate color fudge texture, close, fine Stem 7mm thick This specimen is dried out Please. Would you take a look, and tell me if I am mistaken
Thank you
Regard

Some look to be sun dried, as you mentioned. Others look like they are in bad shape. This makes it hard to come up with any kind of decent guess.
I doubt they are active though. I definitely wouldn't consume any of it. Might be worth going and getting some fresh specimens, if you are still very interested in a better ID.

First off, welcome to the Shroomery, I dont think we have too many South African members!
Secondly, whatever those mushrooms are, they are NOT hallucinogenic, they do not pass any "visual tests" that I see. I would definetly not eat them either.
Do you have any pictures of the mushroom before it was dried? What about the base of the stem, it appears to have a small volva.
My guess is either its an Amanita or Agaricus.

Em thanks.. Well I have been envisioning growing shrooms for some time now.. but I only saw these ones when they were far gone... I did have a pinch of a taste of the one ..yes.. Stupid.. wont do that again.
The Images in my Gallery.. I made them... my alias when I do pictures is Zooked studios. I used to do user graphical interface design... but there is no money in SA.
Well I have started gathering some Items for growing.. but I recon I am going to grow some legal edible shrooms.. and see how that goes. but I am quite facinated by shrooms..
thanks for the replies people..

tasting mushrooms for id is generaly done after the deadly species have been ruled out but essentialy when you taste a mushroom, only use a tiny amount, spit it out completely [and i would go so far as to rinse the mouth out with water because i'm slightly paranoid] it is safe.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Yeah, I'm also pretty sketched about nibbling unIDed mushrooms. I would though, be willing to taste a poisonous species, granted, there is water near by to rinse with.
