sorry i dont have pics.
In a couple of the brf/verm cakes i have colonizing there is some very white stringy stuff that i think is mycelium, but there is also some very grey hazy stuff. I dont know what it is, or how to prevent it, as i did the same procedure with all of my cakes, and only 2 have this cloudy grey stuff. any info?

its probably just nonrhizomorphic mycelium. i wouldnt worry about it.

HELL, When I grew with BRF CAKES I Thought I Had Contams- Turned out that the blurry fuzz/stringy White stuff was healthy mycellium. I boiled 12 jars alah PF-Tek-innoculated(Not very sterile) & had a fish tank type incubator placed on the floor. I had zero Contams my first time. I doubt you have any contams. As you progress the jar will go through another phase wear goo/water builds up on the sides as it compacts into a cake from loose substrate. After a two/three days this will disappear & You have yourself a jar ready to be placed in a home.
