What if you just sold Deep-Fried Chicken Skin?

Okay, I'm baked today. I had some Church's chicken yesterday, and it got me thinking...

I really like the chicken skin. I mean, I eat the skin off every piece of chicken I have before I start in on the meat. So why not start a restaurant that JUST sells the skins, battered and deep fried? I figure every supermarket in America sells skinless boneless chicken breast, right? So there must be a warehouse somewhere just FULL of unused chicken skins that would be made into dog-food, or something.

So why not BUY them and FRY them. It would be no worse than porkrinds, and people eat those like CRAZY. Sure, it would be unhealthy as all hell. But this is AMERICA. I think it could be a hot idea.

Maybe in some combination with the OMGWTFBBQ idea that was floating around...

They sale deep-fried pig skin here in NC.Some fish skin is very good deep-fried .Taste very good, but not very good for the old heart. :smile:

I wouldn't buy it... KFC is the only chicken with skin that I can eat (no popeye's around here), and even then I still need the chicken with it... Chicken skin to me is a big, sloppy, fattening mess... I'm sure some restaraunt would do it though...

Shit TGI Friday's has breaded, deep-fried nuggets of macncheese...

if you sold a piece of fried chicken and just a piece of fried chicken skin i would buy the whole piece of fried chicken.

why would people buy JUST skins when they can get skins AND protein from a whole piece.

I would think if you dipped a battered piece of chicken skin a fryer, it would just curl up and get really crispy. So they'd be like little crunchy balls of fried batter, skin, and grease. My mouth literally waters just thinking about it...

Someone needs to invent a business where you can call them up and order any food you want. E.g. you could call and ask for a whopper with McDonald's fries, or KFC chicken with tater-tots from Sonic. I would go there all the time, because really, my main reason for not getting more fast food is having to move to get it.

K, KFC doesn't deliver to my area of Greater Vancouver, so it looks like it's Dominos instead. 20 hot wings and a bbq chicken pizza with 4 dipping sauces and 4 pops (2 root beer, 2 iced tea).
Now you know exactly what I will be eating.

I've thought about this before. When I used to eat KFC, I'd eat the skin and a little bit of the chicken (once you hit the chicken, that taste is gone).

I'm also pissed that Just Juice stole my idea (and most people's idea) by adding lemonade to fruit juice. I'm sure most people have tried that before they decided to bring out their "new" product range.
