When does second flush usually start?

I searched and got mixed results... about how long does it take to see second flush pins on a casing (50/50)

Your pins for your first few flushes are already there! Your initial pinset creates most all your pins for your flushes, if you are not careful when harvesting you will distroy the pins for subsequent flushes. Sometimes this is unavoidable especially when trying to harvest extremely prolific flushes. With that said immediately after harvesting mist down the casing layer to near saturation and wait it can take up to a week depending on parameters.

I wasn't careful with my first flush when i harvested my first casing and I killed probably 10 shrooms :frown:

only 2 shrooms grew for my second flush.

Once your casing/cakes start getting smaller from flushes, dunking with a mix of seaweed/fish emulsion and water helps revive the myc. Case then I put back in TiT. Once myc starts poking through 30% of the casing layer, I transfer the casing back to FC.

yep. on my cake, i immediatly had a few shrooms growing after harvest/dunk. now i have even more.

How do you know the differance between these, and aborts? from what I gathered, you just pick off everything, and dunk.
