Pycadelic toad!
    #6267991 - 11/10/06 06:22 AM (17 years, 5 months ago)

Hey guys! i just recieved my toad in the mail yesterday! he is coooooool!! I already gave him so me crickets but I don't think he ate any yet. I assume it's from the stressful shipping. he looks healthy and well

he likes to go in the soil and kick it up and all over the place with his hind legs. I guess that's how he gets adjusted to his environment. that is why his cage and water look so dirty!

in about a month I plan on smoking his milk

Teonanacatl, open up my eyes
This sacrament, this prayer, beyond the world of lies
Guide me clearly through that which I dont understand
Give me strength to find the path
Help me fight any demons as you flow through me wholely
This is my prayer, that you protect me from evil, and bring me closer to peace
And open up my eyes, so i can see things as you do
Amen

How big is his tank?

too bad they don't live in florida...cus that's where I live. they mainly only live in the arizona desert and northern mexico. his name is Demitri...they call them colorado river toads, sonoran desert toads and their scientific name is bufo alvarius. you're right, there are toads in florida, but not these kinds.

That's awesome man. He looks cool. I never knew psychadelic toad was legit. I thought it was just a joke. definitely can't wait to read the trip report. As soon as I read the thread title I thought of that simpsons episode where Homer was licking toads in a foreign country. "I'm not not licking toad" lmao

A few years back, a few of my friends bought a toad, squeezed the juice out of him, and smoked it. I wasn't there, so I do not remember how it (the high), or the toad, turned out.
Quite often, though, they'll reminisce about how they got so high from smoking a toad, so I suppose that it did go well.

Demitri's cute.  It's so easy to anthropomorphize toads.  I almost want to invite him to tea or something.
Does anyone know anything about the Church of the Toad of Light?  Is this a farce?  I tried looking for info, but only discovered that the venom/milk is supposed to be used as a sacrament by this 'church'.

Plus even if they did look the same, blindly assuming they were the same species and had the same chemicals in their venom is just asking for trouble.

Different toads. You can see toads anywhere that will look simillar to the untrained eye, just as with any other species of animal. There are lots of toads and frogs all over the world which have poisons for protection. This doesn't mean they all have 5-methoxy-dmt in them.
