Intensity of life
    #6258540 - 11/07/06 08:08 PM (14 years, 6 months ago)

Every day on tv you see peoples lives on the edge emptiionally, mentally, physically, in constant turmoil. In reality, life isnt like this. People maybee come into a few of those "on the edge" moments or situations.'

Alot of people try and make their life like this, most filling it with constsant drama and needless complications, others join the army, others use drugs. Anything that can bring life out of the ordinary, to push the limits of ones own perception.

Do you?

"in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

"People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."

I agree with this.  One of my good friends, practically a sister to me, is like this and it pains me often because she never seems to realize she brings it upon herself, willingly.

But I don't see the relation to its preceeding sentence...unless you're saying that people fill that void called life with something.

Because after all, it is absolutely wrong to not do something with one's life.

Thats so true, I try to keep my life as quiet as possible, I doubt I could handle too much drama.

Society is numb and has need to pinch itself.

Look at peoples daily life and how much their day is spent doing or on their way to doing. Just when you get a moments rest and realise you're still breathing, the mobile phone rings, someone interrupts, a worry about bills or work comes to mind.

When you're dead to your self, you give your emotions a pinch to remind you that you can still feel.

It's the same with advertising that makes promises of feeling through buying, feel this = buy this. The same as a mouse in a maze, offer pain here, offer reward there and it does what you want.

We're programmed to look outside of our selves for satisfaction. Probably one of the reasons good drugs are so taboo, pathetic.

I can't see it ending or getting better any time soon.

I like peace, life isn't worth living without it.
