How to use Dr.Bluethumbs small rye bags.....?

How do you innoculate the bags? I take it the white patch is the filter patch so I poked the syringe throught the bag and put electrical tape over the hole.Also by accident I peeled back the white patch alittle . Is that going to make it more suseptible to contams? Did I innoculate the bags right? Should I have used alcohol to wipe the bag?

Yep if you pulled the filter patch away from the bag you will be very likely to get contams.

Well Ill try to attach back the piece I peeled. I didnt take the whole patch off though. Ill rig it up at home some how. On the other bag I left the patch on though.

Lemme explain a little more...

The filter patch allows filtered air exchange... the part where you peeled it, the air you're breathing that is infested with thousands of different spores will get inside your bag.

But here's some personal experience ... I didn't even wipe the needle or bag when I inoculated and I didn't have any contams... so you should be fine... there are always special cases where it does contam though.
