Thats is like eating breakfast in Mc Donalds I rather stay hungry and pretend I am fasting than eat there.

Brick Oven Pizza is the way to go , I make the ill pizza, but nothing beats a thin crust pizza from a brick oven, better than regular ovens, probably worked to long on that business, I cant take pizza anymore. My date today wants pizza, lucky me i got me a nice spot in the Lower East Side.

Yah, OMR has it right, this pizza is a far cry from NY style/east coast style pizza.  In fact, all they really do besides add the "oversized" toppings is take a large pie and cut it into larger slices.  So instead like 16 small slices, you get 8 large ones.

I was born in new york into an italian family, i lived almost my whole life in philly, and when i moved down to where i am now (somewhere in the midwest) i have yet to encounter a good pizza down here.  Chain pizza sucks, it always will suck, and if i had another choice down here id never order from one.  When i lived back on the EC i never, ever, got pizza from a chain shop because all the local shops produced a much better quality pizza which you could buy by the slice.  Since ive moved here ive been to a bunch of local shops who all think a large pizza is 14 inches and they all serve the 'zas "california style" (thin, crappy, flaky crust).  A large pizza should be no smaller then 21 inches with a big puffy crust, real stretchy mozzeralla, sauce that doesnt have 8342938290 lbs of sugar in it, floppy as all hell so you have to fold it, and when you do fold it all the grease from the cheese and toppings should run down your hand and arm and continuously drip onto your two paper plates turing them into a soggy mess.  Now THAT's a pizza slice. :smile:

Don't you mean you're going to get two large pizzas for the price of two large pizzas? Because that would be about the price you'd pay for two large pizzas if you were to buy them from anywhere else.

2X tuesday? That's not a deal, that's a joke. Dominoes sucks. Or I should say Doughminoes sucks that is, because their pizzas are mostly just bread anyways.

No I meant 2x pizzas for the price of one.

Anyhow that plan fell through so I went to the grocery store and got 4 good steaks for about the same price as a large pizza.  Cooked one up with some mushrooms and put them together in a pita pocket with a little soy sauce we had in the fridge and it was stellar  :ooo:

Has anyone heard of Papa Murpheys pizza? It was a place in Las Vegas that I used to go to when I lived there (5 years ago). They had like $6 large take and bake pizzas that they rolled out the dough and added all the toppings in front of you Subway style. Then you took it hope and popped it in the oven for like 20 minutes and out came a delicious pizza.

They had the best deal for good pizza i've seen. All of the pepperoni touched each other. Their marketing thing was that each pizza came w/ 80 slices, and I counted them at some point, and it was close to and maybe above 80, but it was damn good.

Yes! First of all, fuck all pizza baked in a pan. That Greek shit is like cheese and tomato sauce on fuckin' toast!

Italian pizza is the only way to go, but there are many ways to fuck it up too. The crust must be super-chewy and tough! You
shouldn't be able to bite clear through it, you need to tear of a hunk by gripping it with your teeth and pulling. A slight cardboard
consistancy with a coating of flour on the nearly burnt bottom. A nice uniform thickness of 1/8th - 3/16ths of an inch from the
inside of the bubbly surround all the way to the center.

The sauce should be thick enough so that it sticks to the dough and just enough painted on to add the tomato-spice flavor without
making the pizza all messy and drippy and the cheese slide off and land on your chin.

The cheese should be a blend of part-skim, low-moisture Mozzerella (75%) and Provalone (25%) - NOTHING ELSE!

The pie should be gently shaken off the paddle onto a stone oven floor and cooked to perfection at 525-550 degrees F.

Damn! Pizza is the only reason I'd want to live in New York!

yah, im envious of all out on the EC with access to the dank 'za.  When i moved out here i gave up 4 staples in my life: Yuengling lager, REAL cheesesteaks, Pizza, Good chinese food (all the shit in my area is fast food or buffet style, blech).    I always ask the rents to have a cheesesteak and a lager waiting for me when i fly home  :smile:
