about substrate

hello guys. i cant find vermiculite in my town! i can only find brown rice flour. can i use ONLY this for my substrate? between all the things that i have read that i can use for the substrate i only found brown rice flour! can i use only this with water ?

and something else,i cant find perlite either! is perlite VERY important for me?

No brown rice flour won't work by it self. Vermiculate is a must. Try finding it on the internet. Or maybe I could send you some.

You don't neccesarily need perlite, you could use an ultra sonic humidifer, or a fish tank bubbler (I never tried that one though).

Perlite however would definetly make it easier for you to keep the humidity.

try useing bird seed it works good if not better just look in the grow section to see how its done

If you have a pressure cooker I recomend you use rye. This from experience colonizes the fastest, sometimes within a week. A pot on the stove will not suffice, it will allmost positivly get contaminated....unless your growing in the most sterile room...in a hospital or something. I dont know though, never tried it.
