i already posted this in one of the threads, but id like everyone to read it:
always remember this... you and i are one... as one as day and night, as opposite as male and female, but we can?t exist without each other... therefore i love you, cuz without you i wouldnt be able to experience what i am... without darkness i wouldnt be able to experience light... and without "evil" i wouldnt be able to experience the divinity of creation
namast? (god in me honors god in you)

Just hear me out.
According to "god is all" concept, we're all just a part of god.... right?
I'll assume the affirmative for now.
So, if I were god (hypothetical ego dissolution), would I want my individual parts to know that all is one?
OR would I want them to experience a unique perception (the less common ground, the more unique)?
I think I would want my parts to have unique perceptions. That being said, why have so many of the parts mysteriously joined back up and "found me"?
I think I would have thought of this... and I would have made it impossible for my parts to find myself.
comments?

then what would be the point? if we would never find back to our source... we would be desperate... fact is, as soon as you die, you get back to god... the drop falls into the water, so to speak...
and well, yes... we are here in this illusion... the illusion of beeing separate from each other, and from god... but it is just that, the illusion... and most of us, instead of seeing the illusion for what it is and using it for our experiences, become slaves of the illusion, and begin to lead unhappy lives... you get my meaning?
its like sending your children out on a journey... you want them to experience, but you also want them to come back, or not? you want to see them again... well its like that with god, only that we are never actually separate from him...

Maybe our conciousness is heading in the direction of being one with everything. Or have we already passed that step by?

yes, nicely said.
i like the quote "we are not humans having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience."
I think that part of the human experience is the illusion of separateness. Without an ego we would not be having a human experience. BUT the goal of this life should be to return to the Source, or rather, realize the Source.
Peace.

Namaste means "I bow to you"
Nothing more, nothing less.
Oh yeah, and to our Indian readers, "hello" means "I greet one of the many manifestations of the one true god, who is within us all, especially YOU"

as i have before, i spin the tale thus: the godhead in all its manifestations in eternity, which is us souls, the neutral angels, decided to do just what you're talking about. we set up this universe for our own amusement (some of us, it seems likely, are not human, not corporeal, etc; they probably have their own role to play). The Devil, inc, the manifestation of all selfish aspects of the big Oneness, set up language and metaphor to make realizing our essential oneness nearly impossible, and The God, inc, gave us prana and mushrooms and yage and pot to give us a clue, a glimpse, a chance, albeit a small one, to dissolve back into him. every one of the souls, giggling, agreed to this arrangment for a larf on the endless field of eternity. when we do wake up in one another's presence and use language to confirm what's happening, we outwit The Devil, inc, and win a little at our gameworld, but if we choose to ignore our instinct and let words dig out the roots of our belief again, we go back to square one. which is fine, i like playing for the sake of it... winning isn't the most important thing about playing a game with others... and i think the outcome was decided in our favor beforehand, anyway.
my hearthead was spinny rightway!! you know!

heh... yes you are right... i for myself like playing, cuz this is the only game in town ... we either are in the material world, havin an experience with the duality, like your said... or we are ONE... and simply that...

Yet again, no one seriously ponders my questions...
All I get is a regurgitation of the initial assertion.
Like I should be surprised.
I want to know WHY this is so.
I won't get a real answer.
It's like talking to PARRY...
What I would give to be decieved by a SUPER PARRY, at least, I would feel like I am being heard.

Well I think it's possible to be one with God and still have a unique perspective. If God wanted us all to have a different perspective, he wouldn't close the door so that we could never see him. He would allow us to join as one with all the beauty and diversity of our life experiences.

LOL!! Libertarians ask this alot. That shitty Jet Li movie "The One" addresses that issue (sort of)... apparently it IS wrong (who would've thunk it?).

On one of my recent--and heaviest--mushroom trips, I experienced this self-obstruction. Each time I began to truly grasp the essence of the one-ness, and what I believe is the true nature of God, helicopters would approach. Military helicopters, with missiles. I was sure it was the "government-me" seeking out to destroy the "enlightened-me", because I was getting too close for comfort. I was forced to run into the woods to hide. It was an ominous feeling if I ever had one. In reality, the beach I was on sees a lot of military air traffic, but even now, that doesn't diminish the fact that what I was coming to understand about how things should be (could be??) is a real threat to the status quo. The metaphor of my experience rings true.
But since mankind, on a whole, is far from achieving much of a one-ness, let's compartmentalize ourSelf for now, and consider who stands to lose the most by such a revolution. It is the power elite. Do they actually murder individuals who rock the boat they captain? Of course they do. They know that for every inch of separation between themselves and the commoners, there's also an inch of overlap. A co-dependency, perhaps. What I mean is that, hypothetically, if enough change occurred amongst the commoners, the power elite would collapse.
Obviously I'm too tired and too stoned to get this out. My words are orbitting around some abstract center, and this is as close as they can get for tonight.
Nurture that one-ness hongomon
