I did, so I bought one.

I can't contain my glee. I honestly can't. It's gushing all over the place.

you would love the polish market at the brandenburger gate in berlin germany. i used to live near there and i would go all the time and get old soviet army stuff. they have hats, uniforms, night vision, medals, coins, gasmasks, bayonets, spetznas berrets. really anything you could imagine. really cool place to visit

I just heard an ambulance go around the corner. what will it be tonight? the son who kicked his mother down the stairs? the father who beat his wife to death with the telephone? the baby who got forgotten by his mother because the drugs were really good today? you never know. you never know and you never get to know unless it's you, and if its you, well, you dont want to know. ~Henry Rollins "Art To Choke Hearts"

There's dozens of varieties floating around on eBay. I honestly have no idea what's authentic and what isn't.
I love the style of this one, though. The metal is fairly drab, and the enamel has a deep yet unassuming color.

It sounds like I definitely would love it. I've wanted to visit germany for a while, so if I ever do... I'll make a point of stopping at that market.

If you want to part me with my money... offer me some interesting soviet tchotchke.

usualy KGB was spelled out in the rare instances it wasnt, it was usualy a commemorative badge, none we done in stamped brass, they were normaly solid cast copper with a mint mark on the reverse, they always contained more color

When the Soviet Union collapsed, my father was on the last edition of the KGB most wanted list - twice.

Fer real...they published it as a book...and his name is in it twice...for anti-Soviet activities. Rallies, etc.
