wheats vs. sweets
    #624463 - 05/01/02 10:42 PM (22 years, 11 months ago)

From JPAtanat:
I liken it (skeptic vs. believer debate) to the frosted mini-wheats commercial : wheats vs. sweets

Wheats are CLEARLY the way to go for any rational individual.

Once I ate nothing but frosting for a month.. I lost all my hair, and teeth.

After a month of eating just wheat, they all grew back!

The moral of this story is that some people are out of their minds and lie all the time and you should ignore them,,,,,

HRuahh!

What if a rational person wants to live hard, die young and leave a good looking corpse? Or is that an irrational desire?

Question:
Would you prefer to die post-coitus or mid-coitus?

everything is relative, including rationality (exept the speed of light is not relative, but a constant at 670,000,000 miles per hour in a vacuum) so all points are valid, and needed. and watch out for that camel !

"Everything is relative." is an absolutist statement.

Recent studies (I'm not an astronomer, so the source hasn't stuck... but I think it was in recent Scientific American.) have questioned whether or not the speed of light is constant.

I am eating frosted mini-wheats right now, and thinking to myself:
pretty good combination, but man this shit would be bland, bland , bland without the frosting.

I " beleive " the skeptic is the way to go, but even the skeptic comes to a point where he hits the mark and it would be foolish to cast that particular view.

Perhaps you have been de-sensititized to natural taste and need an overload of stimulus to experience that whole-wheat goodness.

Why....Swami.....how nice of you to think of me as sweet, if not irrational........much like our dear friends the women (sorry girls---love all of ya)........
I'm the first to admit that believers are a WEIRD bunch......anyone who would take the leap of faith without all the information is at least a little crazy......but then every friend I have every had has at some point told me that I am crazy......its my trademark......people just shake their heads and walk off.....
........me......I smile and jump!
I always manage to land on my feet too. Most days....I seriously get HIGH just from the rush of excitement.
But then I'm not totally irrational either.....so maybe I'm the edge of the frosted wheat......I understand the logic, believe the believer, and get pegged as a nut case by both sides.......but damn.....do I ever have fun!
