Believers need not enter...
    #624402 - 05/01/02 11:21 PM (14 years, 7 months ago)

Suckers... I can't believe they think I'll actually give up and quit like that. HA! It just shows how quick they are to believe anything. Especially something that suits their system of beliefs (me being an opponent of their system, they cheer at my "departure"). Nonsense.

Soooo...

I propose that all posts made in the spirit of a rational person contain some symbol in the Subject line, so as to distinguish it from the garbage posts. Hey, I know it's a pain in the ass, but I don't think the "believers" would go through with a similar plan. So us "skeptics" will have to deal with our little yellow stars.

Now, what will that symbol be?

??
??
??
I figure something like this... what do you ["skeptics"] think?

I'll no doubt get some dipshite mocking me...
Pay no attention, I no longer will.

You try to hard...

look at yourself when you throw around the "US' & "Them" shit -- where has that ever gotten anyone?

Honestly do you really think it helps to draw lines in the sand....

You try to hard....

Look- I speak a common language that has been used and is still used by EVERY philosopher known to man... it's called logic. I'm not a skeptic. Being skeptical does make me a skeptic either. I didn't draw the line in the sand... YOU DID, when you decided to ignore the common philosophical language of logic.

As far as the "US" & "Them" shit... in the past, I've singled people out for sloppy thinking. Since that didn't seem to work, I figure the "skeptic" vs. "believer" labels will help people understand that I am not attacking you PERSONALLY (until you start it, then it's fair game- Old Testament Rules... really old school, eh?).

Understanding all this so far?
And didn't the subject line tip you off not to post?
I'm avoiding the battle by avoiding YOU. Yet who came wandering in here?

P.S. "You try too hard..."- two o's

wow, seems to be the theme of the day!
You ARE drawing the line in the sand, you just chose to pin it on others. This forum is for all types. I hate reading some of this shit just as much as you, but I also get a kick out of some of it. As do you, or you wouldn't be wasting your time posting things such as this. If you don't want "believers" to read, why not go to a logic forum where you can discus theorems and equations and such? In other words knock it off, we are all here to have fun with each other. Last time I checked a main theme in this forum was acceptance. Peace

all philosophers known to man were believers... like it or not... they had to believe in something... and i will tell you this... most of their ideas didn?t came from the mind (merely a tool, which you and swami seem to be slave of), they came from the heart...

always remember this... you and i are one... as one as day and night, as oppisite as male and female, but we can?t exist without each other... therefore i love you, cuz without you i wouldnt be able to experience what i am... and without "evil" i wouldnt be able to experience the divinity of creation...

Believers in what? If you mean a deity, I'll have to say that that is a bold assertion for someone who doesn't know what he's talking about.

so i dont know what im talking about? who are you to judge me? i never said a deity... i said believers... they believed in themselves (which would in fact be a deity), and in a deeper meaning behind things...
and yes, i read the sign at the door... but i don?t know if you did... id reads believers NEED not enter... and thats true... absolutely... i need nothing in order to survive... but i wanted to... so watcha gonna do? crucify me?
and well, as i stated in some other thread... i dont believe in these things... they are TRUTH and FACT for me... but REMEMBER i am NOT trying to push them on you... and i am not calling you names nor saying you don?t know what you talk about...

Got a rise out of you, huh?

You previously stated "all philosophers known to man were believers"

I said, "if you mean a deity..."

Maybe you think all philosophers that believe(d) in themselves believe(d) themselves to be deities, but that's your take on it, not theirs. I'm not very impressed with your implied omniscience. It's a rather arrogant and silly statement to make a claim such as this. I just call 'em as I see 'em.

I  agree with you. ( apart this deity thing)
For me telepathy is real. Believe me or not but its real.
I witnessed
precognition
ghosts
and astral projection
That's my list of real things.
Now from that knowledge I draw conclusions.
Its not empty believes, for me its truth
I think that everything have scientific explanation. But our science need some more time...to mature a little
I'm wasted

( grammar check is cool thing

you didnt understand me... i said that out of the fact that we are all a part of god (notice i say a part, not apart)... therefore the philosophers also were a part of god, hence if they believe in themself, they believe in god...
this may not make much sense for you, cause you asosiate (sp?) the word god with a human-like image, not with the divine light and energy that is source of all things...

Hey, take notice of the forum name: SPIRITUALITY AND PHILOSOPHY.

Last time I checked neither could be proven logically. Try going elsewhere. And don't tell me that some philosophies have been proven through logic because I know this already. Philosophy in its beginning stages is always based on an unproven stance, or there would be no breakthroughs! Some of these "crazy" ideas might just become the social paradigm one day. Was Einstein not considered a whacko at first? Oh, but you are probably still surprised that a so-called "believer" knows what paradigm means. Maybe that was rational enough for you?

Or maybe you are just Swami posting under a different name, and forgot?

As a skeptic.......I think its a great plan.....join forces and show those believing bastards just how #@!$ $%&&* ()&%!+ !@@$%%^'? that they really are!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe we could form a cult just for skeptics and kill everyone else!!!!!!!!! Shove our beliefs right down their throats---that would kill them!!!!!!!

(Just kidding..............................Seriously though man, nice to have you back, I knew you weren't really going to stay away......)
