I need to dry some new shrooms, but I've been to dozens of household stores and no one has so much as heard of it. Can someone post some alternative drying techniques.

Spread your shrooms out on a piece of newspaper, shine a light down on them, don't exceed 110 degrees.
To speed things up you can split the shrooms down the middle.

You can also try air drying with a fan.

What I do is a combination of the two.  I put the shrooms in a fairly shallow tupperware dish and shine a light on them.  To make sure things don't heat up too much, I also blow a fan over them.  I then place an upside down box over the whole setup.  It works fast and doesn't get too warm :smile:

Has anyone ever tried using one of those natural dehydraters? they don't use heat, just let it hang or something and drips the liquid, not sure exactly how they work. most dehydraters use heat (though good ones don't excede 108F or thereabouts since enzymes break down around that temp anyways so maybe that might work)....
just a thought.
