This cute little guy popped up in my terrarium today. As you can see it’s idea for fruiting. I am curious what it might be because A friend says he gets the same ones in a potted plant. It has white gills I can’t see if they are attached. I would take a print but can’t bring my self to pick it.

Leucocoprinus birnbaumii. Easy to recognize by habitat and since it is so commonly found/asked about.

Oooo I like those. They can be very vibrant yellow, and if you rub the mushroom, this yellow residue crumbles off. It looks kinda like pollen, it isn't spore deposits though. Very pretty.

Looks very cool. I think I found the same or a similar species in a pot plant on a really high floor of an office block in the centre of London when I was working as a 'plant waterer'... I wish I had taken photos.

Haha - yeah, one of those random backpacking jobs you pick up as your float around. It was probably one of the better ones - cruising around the office blocks, perving on all the office chicks, taking advantage of the free coffee machines and sweeping views over london...
Whats more, the plants were always moist anyway so we barely did any real work - every day we had a two hour lunch break that was spent watching the 'inter-office' netball games in the park down below...
