American Beauty. I find it's a nice and peaceful movie, left me feeling a bit floaty, calm and upbeat.
Donnie Darko aswell if you've never seen it. some people love it, some people hate it because they whine about it being overrated, but deffinately worth viewing at least once.

What? Don't think Harold and Maude is a philosophical movie?
Maude: "My body is the earth, but my head is in the stars." Who said that, Harold? Harold: I don't know. Maude: Well, I suppose I did, then.

Interstate 60. Kind of hard to find sometimes, but it's definitely worth the watch.

Easyrider. Generally perceived and under appreciated as a stupid hippy movie, most tend to overlook it's profound, philosophy-transcending secret, of which I will not elaborate upon. Though this might not be my favorite movie, I certainly rate it as the absolute best.

For the first poster, some I would recommend would be: Koyaanisqatsi Lost Highway Apocalypse Now Taxi Driver Stratosphere Girl
to name a few

I just saw cube2 (they didnt have the first)
It did inspire a few strange thought processes. More about ethics and morality instead of metaphysics which i was expecting by the looks of the movie.
O yea sweet special effects along with an awesome soundtrack. Im gonna try and get the soundtrack if can.

The first one of the three is called "Cube Zero" - which had escaped me when I made my post.... ("Cube Zero" then "Cube", then "Cube II - Hypercube") They all have a very similar storyline, just different puzzle-traps/people/charactors/etc....
"Phenomenon" with John Tavolta is pretty good (with metaphysics).... "K-PAX" is a good one with Kevin Spacey.... "The Jacket" is a half way decent trippy movie with a little time travel....
"The Jacket" is the more "intense" of the three, but it all depends on whatcher~ lookin fer~....

Nnnaaaaa, it didn't ruin anything.... The storyline doesn't really continue in sequential order of the movies themselves....
I didn't even know about Cube Zero(which I found out about here on the Shroomery) until a few years after I saw the other two....
