Some Loph/Trich Grafts

This is my first post here, and I thought I would show off some of my Loph/Trich grafts. All are less than 3 months old. I have a massive outside garden, and recently I had a problem with slugs. They chewed the growth tips off a bunch of Perioskopsis, and 2 San Pedros. I mention this because the first graft pictured has gotten kind of weird. I know that doesn't sound too technical, but have a look.

I thought at first that it was just changing it's rib pattern, but now I don't know. What do you think ?
The next pic is a Loph on a Peruvian Torch. The one Torch has 4 offsets surrounding the Loph. These offsets are robbing energy from the Loph scion, but I am going to let them grow out, and graft to them, also.
[image] [/image]
This is a Pedro with 3 offsets. One offset has already been grafted, also. I will turn this into a peyote tree when these offsets grow out.

The last pic is a T. Macroganus seedling grafted to a 'Toothpick' cactus (I can't remember the proper name right now !). Seedling is red with sunburn, but it has 'taken off' in the last week, doubling it's size.

I've some Loph/Myrtillo grafts I'll post later. Any and all comments, questions and criticisms are welcome -- Captu4ik.

this torch seems to have beach-white spines. i was informed that this is a trait of cuzcoensis that makes them distinct from peruvians. by no means a "fact" just something ive heard.

Yeah, I was hopeful when I saw the small pic. The new growth has pretty red spines. But the main body does look like cuzcoensis. Pretty either way.
Those are some beautiful pictures, though. Great button size, and more importantly: shape. With the exception of the first one (which is nice too), I like the flatter, lower buttons that don't seem heavily inflated. More natural looking I suppose.

It may just be deformity due to the highly increased growth rates after grafting, it's quite common in grafted peyotes I've heard.

It's not ACTIVE, if that's what you mean. These are sold on the internet as torches, but they make EXCELLENT grafting stock.
