I have grown cubes with success about 8 or 9 times. Although I haven't mastered them I still have some failures, I want to try a new species.
I want something that is different but not to much harder then ps. cubensis I was looking at ralphsters spores and Ive have read that pan cyan is just a bit trickier to grow. I would like to order from him cuz he just seems like a nice guy. On his site I see... Pan Australian Pan Ban Thurian Pan Cyan Pan Ban Saket and a few others are these strains or different species with different grow parameters? I was also looking at sporeworks and they have a lot more species like -Psilocybe azurescens-... Ive read these to be hard to grow but someday I want to maybe just not so soon still inexperienced some. Psilocybe atlantis... don't know anything about them. ps cyans. they look nice? well what im saying I guess is what other then cubies can I possibly grow that isnt a cubensis strain and isnt to difficult. Potency matters a bit but not much. Meaning yes they need to be active.
Just offer up your experiences with their species. ps or copes or anything that you think might be something for me to try. Thanks and I have read many posts.

Pans(copelandia) are a natural progression from cubes. There is a lot of information on them here. They grow well on horse manure with thin substrates and a very thin peat/verm casing layer. Strain really doesn't matter any more than it matters with cubes.
P cyans and azures are for outdoor grows in the proper climate. A few expert growers have managed to get a couple of small harvests indoors, but it's certainly not recommended.
Edibles and medicinals are also a lot of fun and very healthy too, not to mention great cover for your hobby from relatives. Just give them a bowl of oysters and they'll always love ya. Reishi is extremely easy to grow and a great one to learn sawdust substrates, and oysters grow great on straw logs or sawdust. See the other thread in this forum on edibles for more information. RR

Cool that exactly what I wanted to hear. I will go read some more grow logs and decide how I was to do my first grow of another species. I will prolly go with pan cyans ... Then I think I would wanna try some edibles after that . thanks rr.
