Hi, all. I am The Lord thy God. I just wanted to introduce myself on the Spirituality and Philosophy forum because I'm know some of you don't believe that I exist. Some of you know me already. Some of you think you know me and have the audacity to presume that you can speak for me. Well, here I am and I'll speak for myself from now on.

You have doubts that I am the one. This is good. I use whatever operating system I prefer at the time, but usually it's FreeBSD. I'm mulling over going to the Mac OS X (because of it's Unix core and I like the interface). I can't stand Microsloth, the software is just too buggy.

I suppose you've missed the numerous stories on the evening news when they talk about some unwed mother dropping her infant in the trash and the poor baby is later found by a homeless person looking to peel cheese from the inside of a pizza box.

Do I really care in the end?
I ask myself that all the time and when I answer yes I realize i can just be lying to myself.
Some people say you need to be put into a situation where you will finally choose between caring or saving your own skin....
GOD? why does everyone seem to try so hard?
-And I'm not talking about just the poeple who make this a better world.. I'm taking about everyone with their opinions....

SofaJesus, you are not lying to yourself so much as you change your mind. Such is the nature of uncertainty.
Many people try so hard because they fail to realize that there can be value in simple acceptance or in non-action. These things are apparent to those who've come to understand the way.
The first step in understanding or dealing with anything must be the acceptance of it's existence and it's nature.
Non-action can often be more effective than expending effort but may require an effort of will to refrain from acting.
Does a dandelion spread it's seed by fighting the wind or by surrendering to it?

I kid God, I kid! I am a believer, and I'll have to use that hinge thing! Thats the closest thing I have heard to a rhyme. And besides you have to be the real thing cause you are always online, and you answer in such a timely fashion.
