I do recognize Future Sound Of London from something tho...

very nice recommendations, i own all those cds except for alex pattersons voyage into paradise, i heard its good though
and also ive never heard of Amorphous Androgynous ? Tales of Ephidrina what is it like??? its good you say??
lifeforms is definetly the best album from FSOL
as for the orb, my favorite is u.f.orb
SAW2 is awesome!! i love the strange soundscapes, though some of it might make you have a bad trip because it can sound kind of evil (for me anyways)
i will give some recommendations based on the ones you listed:
Various - Mystery of the Yeti Part 2 (TIP world) 1999
This is a classic, very nice chill, it takes you on a wonderful voyage. absolutely fantastic flutes layered into the music. This was designed for weed and mushrooms (look inside the cover, you will see)
if you can find Part 1, get it!!! ive never found it though
Makyo - Yakshini (Dakini) 2001
This is very asian/indian oriented with great percussion and wonderful voices. Its very nice to relax to when tripping
Shpongle - Are you Shpongled? (Twisted) 1998
This is another classic. All i can say is that its awesome
these are some great albums, salviaengland list some more of your favs for tripping on mushrooms!!

psyflux:
FSOL has some jazzy and breakbeat elements in it.
it is chill music though, it has some very strange sounds in it and takes elements from lots of genres
i have ISDN, lifeforms and dead cities
they are all good albums, though lifeforms is the best IMO

hey bro i`m listening now to Shpongle - Are you Shpongled?... the beginning remindes me a bit Ozric Tentacles style... but now vocal parts have changed climat a little bit... my impression concerning Shpongle is really positive
Again i repeat myself... if you like Shpongle so much then i am sure you will love Ozric Tentacles as in my opinion they are a bit better than Shpongle (there is no vocal parts and beside that they are real live band).
Anyway I love what i`m listening to now... and i`m going to check their new record.
ps. yes veterans from ozric tentacles pay me for the propaganda i spread around the shroomers hahahaha
pss. i`m going now to check Makyo... internet is wonderful

i will be really greatful... thanx

I think that trip music is completely preferential/ Although there are many albums which are held with high regard more or less unanimously. Like Pink Floyd's Dark side of the moon.
-------------------- Darlene: "Ted, I got you this new nose plug to stop you from snoring at night."
Ted: "Uh yeah, and I got you this paper bag to stop you from looking like James Brown in the Morning."
Darlene: "Oh come now, I don't look anything like James Brown."
Ted: "Hey kids, who does your mom look like in the morning?"
Kids... in unison: "James Brown!"
Darlene, "All right, thats enough... It's poison spaghetti for dinner tonight."

If you like rock try listening to Dream Theater (A Change of Seasons, Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory, Images & Words) or Rush (2112, Moving Pictures, A Farewell to Kings) during a peak. Guaranteed to blow your mind!!!

if it has to be ambient, i like Tortoise, Charlie Watts or certain selections of Negativland.
i'm not huge on ambient, however, so my other votes would be: sound tribe sector 9, particle, string cheese incident, moe., soulive, medeski martin and wood, the big wu, it's a beautiful day, and of course all the classic rock greats (zep, beatles, doors, dead, king crimson, crosby stills nash and young)
take care! tune in and drop out... -bizarro

i was actually referring to a band from the late 60's / early 70's that actually called themselves "it's a beautiful day." i've got this one album of theirs where one of the guys is wearing a big clock on his belt - a la flava flav in the 80's...
i'll check out oakenfield, though. music is my #1 love, so i appreciate everyone's recommendations. already checking out shpongle and autechre...
take care! thanks for the tip... -bizarro

mndfreeze: I left out Shpongle - Tales of the Inexpressible on purpose. because although its a nice album, its not like their first with the flutes and melodies. its more of a hybrid. but its still good, just not like the rest.
and yes hallucinogen is also very good for tripping, though its not ambient, these are two very nice albums
Hallucinogen - Twisted (1995) Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger (1997)
oh and two other great psy trance albums that i have to mention:
Infected Mushroom - The Gathering (1999) Infected Mushroom - Classical Mushroom (2000)
have fun!!!
