 New Tek: Grow enough Shrooms to feed Afghanistan

Materials:
1: Two Baby swimming pools - about 1.5 ft high & 3 grow light deluxes all from
Wal Mart.
-They have about 35/40 sqft of cropping.
-You Will need silicon glue & Wide Duct Tape
2: Take 36qt/48qt Jars & mix w/t 30lb's of compost in 3 seperate sterlite containers
3: Pastuerize 2 bales of shredded staw(use wood chipper) outside using
one of the many teks about it
4: Cut 3 window's inside one of your pools , put plexi glass over them
cauk them shut

5: Take your Wheat Straw and lay one layer down-Crumble some Cake...etc.
cover with 3mil furniture wrap w/holes - follow shroomgod tek
6: Now its colonized-Pasturize 30lbs of cow dung(Home Depot-1$ a Bag)
7: remove plastic -put some strong screen down
8: Case w/t 1.5in of cow dung and cover with plastic
9: Once again its colonized-remove plastic & case w/t 50/50+ (expensive)
or coco coir(My kinda price)-cover with plastice.
10: Hook up 3 cool mists (6 hoses going into Tank)-put some holes on other side
-small holes close to Cool mist hoses & largest hole directly across f/r CoolM.
11: remove plastic, Duct tape shut - run light cycle\Cool Mist
12: Harvest enough to feed the Gods
Recomended:
Use more Jars since they are easy to multiply & Dont take long to colonize
Screen\Cow Dung isnt necesarry unless you want this to last for long time
After three flushes when removing dung/casing throw it outside with straw
and get more with no work
-Put coolmist's in tall container so it sucks air from up above and not so low
There are no Limits

thats alot of shit...and alot of substrate to lose if contams set in...
i dont think you need a cool mist at all.
have you done this? or is this just a concocksion from your mind?
ive also read about the screen tek....have you ever used that tek?

Glad to see someone finally thought of spawning straw indoors in a terrerium. I think this tek will be revolutionary. I can't believe stamets never thought of using straw before! Or dung for that matter! You truly are a genius.

that would make for some great decor in someone's garage for sure, and sounds extremely possible... a couple autoclavable spawn bags would remove the hassle of colonizing jars.

Hi Sum Guy,
First of to the poster of this thread, it would take more than two baby swimming pools to feed Afghanistan and all of its children the mushrooms you propose to grow in the baby pools..
And Sum Guy,
not sure if you saw this before . Here is a ware house of Copelandia cyanescens growing in the Netherlands.
This place was the size of at least two large swimming pools.
There were cubensis growing in the opposite direction from which the photograph was taken.

Read about using spawn filter bags/ but never tried & I Dont have money for impulse sealer - hell- use 1 or 2 gallon jars. That should do the trick.
Yes, I always use a gutter Mash (Plastic, no rust) & a variation of shroomgod's Straw Tek crossed b/w Major Millets Tek Cased w/t 1in of Dung then 1in 50/50+. Mesh Kicks ass. After three flushes you can put more dung & 50/50+ down & get three more flushes & continue the process. I always use Wheat piss to mix w/t worm Castings and Only got cotams once when i first started. I used a waterbed heater, Everything seemed OK- Walked in 3/4 hrs Later-The cakes were Steaming.
I Have had awsome results making jars w/t Southern Farms pure 3 parts white millet, 1 part amarinith, 1 part quinio, tad extra water then half the grain(ml), and spoonfull of BRF/gypsum(A Must). I put the BRF in jar to honor the PFTek. If you try the pool, Post some Pics. P/S I Have revitalized My Sterlite Cake- Being very sterile Peroxide was sprayed everywhere, mesh was removed, A mixture of wheat, BirdSeed piss,peroxide was injected in six locations then top of cake was sprayed with peroxide, 3mil furniture wrap was applied- after 2days cycle started all over again w/t no problems.

MJ yep I've seen it before but every time I see it I think about how awesome it looks ... very very nice looking...I wonder how they get to them to pick them without ruining the bed? :P They must have collector monkeys that hang from their tails on the bars up top to pick 'em with one hand and throw them in a bag with the other :P

On thing I think that would be very important to regular sucess would be the addition of at least 2 large-room type hepa filters running constantly.
You could even vent one into a big box holding the cool mists to insure that your air source was clean.
Benlate,Benamyl would also help with contams, trich mostly, if the grower wanted just prints.

Was (or is) that warehouse legal or even "tolerated"? I'm just asking because I'm curious (especially because of how the laws seem to be changing regarding mushrooms) and also because I think that I've read that 500 grams or more would not be allowed to exist in one location.
Thanks for any info. And I must say that is a great pic, I have seen ones at erowid that I think are of the same warehouse but that pic is the best I've seen.

I don't want to start any arguments or wars, but the shrooms in that warehouse look a lot different to the Copelandia cyanescens I am used to finding down under. Those shrooms look massive, where as the cop's downunder are really small skinny stems, any ideas MJ?

You know I just recently posted a whole series of grow pictures toshow how outdoor speimens look nothing like the same species growing indoors.
I will find the URL and post it.
I show Copelandia, panaeolus and Psilocybe mexicana indoors and outdoors and of course they never look the same.
In fact go to the search engines and look for anyones Copelandia images in the growing forums or the mushroom picture forums and you will see the difference.
Yes that is a legal warehouse in Holland of Copelandia's.
I willnow search or the comparison photos of the Copelandias and other species I posted.
