Monster Cyan patch + hassled by cops (pics)

(Necessary rigamarole...) *The following story is completely fictive and the pics are not mine*
As I have mentioned before, I was planning a trip to Seattle to do some hunting. On a spur of the moment desire, I took off! I checked into a motel in the Bellevue area and immediately departed to do some hunting in the area.
I was mostly checking parks, and after a couple empty tries, I came across... the motherload. When I pulled up, I saw a guy a little ways away hunched on the ground with two paper grocery bags, with arms flailing madly at the ground. I knew this was a good sign. I walked around a little bit, and it didn't take long before I came across exactly what I was looking for:
(Hundreds of mushrooms, some starting to rot, but the majority still perfectly good!)
I started picking for a few minutes, but what could happen but that a cop car pulls up right next to me. I swiftly shoveled the sack into my backpack before he could see. He walked over to question me, and asked me what I was doing, and also questioned the other picker who was nearby. I told him I was out taking pictures of the mushrooms. He asked if I was picking any, so I told him I would need a lawyer before answering further questions. He asked to look in my bag, but I responded that I would like to keep my privacy, and he said that was completely fine. He told me it was illegal to take vegetation from parks in the area, and I told him I did not know this, because I was from another part of the state. Anyway he took my information and all of that good stuff.
Another cop, a female, was called in, and they decided to call the park service to let them decide what to do with us. Before he arrived, the cops said that the worst case scenario I would go to jail for a misdemeanor, but I forget the charge; something about park property. Best case scenario, we would be given trespasses.
When the ranger arrived, he quickly said he would just give us trespasses for a year if we would turn over the mushrooms to him to be "burned". I was SO relieved, because if I went to jail it would be for a long time since I'm on probation.
He then took my meager pickings and then about 3-4 pounds of the other guy's pickings and left. When I was leaving, I had to snap a shot of the cops:
(editted heavily to protect location)
To be honest, they were very nice cops, and I thank them for their respectful and understanding handling of the situation. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. policeman/woman! We need more like you!
....So, the next day I call up Kloomie and tell him about the patch. We decided that I would pick him up and I would drop him off to pick out of the patch, since I couldn't risk being on the property. I parked way down the road in a fruit stand parking lot. 15 minutes later, I see him walking back to me, and at that moment the SAME cop dude screeches up and catapults out of his car and says "What are you still doing here?!?," with menacing eyes and neck muscles bulging. I explained my motel is right down the road so I was parking to decide where to go. He said I was still on park property, that the park extended all the way down the road, anything on the side of the road (which I think was slightly BS). Meanwhile, Kloomie does a quick 180 degrees and goes the other way. The cop asked if I was coming back for mushrooms, and I said that I wasn't picking any, I was just in the area, since I've been driving around. He made me leave and followed me for awhile. I went back to my motel, and hoped Kloomie would figure out to meet me there. He did, and I was relieved because I thought he might have been hassled too. We surveyed our loot!:
Considering Kloomie picked only 15 minutes at the most, this was a simply AWESOME load of mushrooms. Yeah, we were happy!
What was impressive was the giant size of them. A couple of the caps had the circumference of a tennis ball!:
When it was all weighed out, we had a total of 550 grams. Some of the mushrooms were 13 grams each!
Admittedly, most of the cyanescens were not the prettiest, because some were starting to deteriorate and get black spots, but nearly all of them were still ok, and any serious spots were cut out.
There are still hundreds of them left!.. so I am grateful I found the patch, and a big hand to Kloomie for doing the picking!

Actually, I don't know if very many people know about it other than the guy that was there. Everything looked completely untouched, and since many of the fruits were already rotting, no one had been there to pick them.
The cop said he came down there to check because he'd never seen that many cars there before, but that may have been a toiletful of bs. I think what might have happened was someone called in to report the other picker, because he was obviously blitzed on mushrooms at the time, talking weird, and moving around strangely. So I think the cop came to see what was going on. I'm surprised that the cops didn't arrest the guy for consumption or anything. They actually let him skateboard his way home while he was tripping, haha!
But when it comes down to it, the important thing here is that those aging cyans were finally given a home

If it is the same spot I spotted last year, that parking lot is patrolled heavily by Bellevue PD, mainly because that is a "nice/rich" area and the local folk don't take kindly to people rummaging through bushes.
There is an easy way to get them w/o attracting unwanted attention. You just need the right costume

The only downfall to the patch is that it is so close to the road, that it is not at all private. If we were able to have all the time we needed to pick, I don't doubt we could have brought in nearly 1 pound dry, while still leaving the pins. But I am happy with what we got.
Anybody ever run across cyans with such big caps? The average one was about 6-7 grams and nearly ten of them were the circumference of tennis balls (if caps were straightened).
