I went over to my freinds house for the birthing ceremony... as i took the cake out of the jar, i felt as if i was holding something very precious...
anyway, do you case individual cakes with a little layer of verm?
If so, do you wet it?
I haven't read this in the grow guide... but i'm thinking it would help...

Yes, you can certianly case individual cakes.
It would probably be benifical to just case all of them, or have 2 in a casing rather than one. By breaking up the cake into 2-3 inch peices, and then pressing down on them to make them even, then adding a moist verm layer would be much better than just fruitng off cakes.

Hermit,
Hey I case individual cakes in little plastic containers I get at the grocery store. It is much better than the cake method. They are made by Ziploc and are just about the perfect size for .5 pint cakes. I get four for about $2.00 or so. beatle
