I recieved some cyans growing on their substrait, 6 cyans in about 1 square foot.

I got the same kind of mulch they were on (conifer mulch) and planted them in my back yard, now they have grown to maturity

questions:

will it flush again?

will this mycelium spread to the new mulch? how fast if kept in best growing conditions?

Hi. I think that strategy will work. Supposedly you can grow psilocybe cyanescens on confier mulch (douglas fir, I believe according to Stamets.) But they do better on alder chips mixed with alder sawdust. In the northwest, you can find it with no problem. If you can't you can purchase for about 25$, 20 lbs of primo chips/sawdust. Then you could take what you've got (the existing mycelium) and mix it up with the alder chip/alder sawdust matrix. With a northwest US climate you could do it in the fall, probably and it would go dormant until next spring, then fruit in october.

That's essentially what my friend did, although he started with some spores form Humboldt County California and his grow is in the east. This is a pic of the results you can get from the matrix:

Good luck.
