Fat Arses...
    #619227 - 04/26/02 10:09 AM (14 years, 7 months ago)

A friend of mine has a terarrium with two casings in it ... one of straw and one of rye the question is, are fatasses just caused by the atmosphere (ie. High humidity/Air exchange probs) or can they be cause by a bacteria of some sort or maybe even an isolated strain.. The reason for asking is that the straw casing is producing no fat asses and the rye is producing only fatasses that dont grow more than an inch tall. It's perplexing that they're in the same environment but doing much different things...... HMmmMmmmm

I have always been told that fat asses were caused by excessive moisture in the substrate or casing, but I have never tested the hypothesis.
