WE WANT NEW STRAINS

ok, i was putting a team together to introduce new strains to the shroomery( not really new, just something besides the same strains we see at every site). but workman blew my idea out of the water, by stating the fmrc's spores where, basicly, shit. so i am putting it on hold for now, i would gladly donate the money and time to make it happen, IF it was worth it. im not a rich man, and i aint going to gamble if this is just bashing the competition, or a valid claim. but what i want to know is, with as many strains there are, why cant the venders give us more selection? you can only grow sooooo many pr's, gt's, ks's, etc etc etc , we dont need another hydropod clone, we dont need 50 types of compost, we dont need piss cup syringe making jars, WE NEED SOME NEW SHROOMS TO GROW!!!!!!!!! i will give credit to boxtop, the acadian coast is a step in the right direction. but do any search, and see the vast numbers of strains there is....WE WANT A PIECE OF THAT ACTION! shroomites. we are the venders bread n' butter. take just a second to make a selection , and tell em how we feel.

Our simian friend is correct. While they are a shit load of psilocybes the strains must be domesticated for home cultivation.

Maby you should try our Psilocybe Subcubensis Argentinia (Santa Rosa). This is a very agressive colonizer and fruiter. You deffinately will not be disappointed with this strain. To learn more, click on the proceeding link: http://mushroom-madness.com/spores.htm

im not saying he made it, or discovered it, but he did make it available. and before you say anything , i know a few other venders carry it, but it's not the run-of-the-mill strains we see everyday. what i am getting at is, are the "lets say for arguement, because i havent counted them" 15 strains, the only ones worth growing? shit, i hate to say it, but even STP has the fortitude to bring new strains into the market place. even though he charges 10x what they are worth. i know we have damn good venderes here, for the most part, and this isnt slamming them in any way shape or form, if this is how you took it, im sorry, but ive been misinterpreted. what i am saying, instead of wasting their time and energy, making duplicate products/ flaming/ and rediscovering the wheel, they could be doing what it takes to bring the PAYING public what it wants . this isnt a you venders suck post, this is a chance for those of us who shell out our money, to say what we would like. novel concept huh?

While it's pretty difficult keeping the ones I already have in-stock, I will be introducing at least two more varieties of PC to my stock list within a week or so. I'm excited about both.-Boxtop

lol ok w.h.a.t. e.v.e.r. everyone can see what i mean im not going to going to argue, i have had two venders post here, and neither of them took offence. they can see what i am getting at, i tried to say everything, without sounding like a dick. if you like things the way they are, that is your right, and you dont have to buy anything you dont want. but there is some of us who wants more. give us the same respect, and let us voice our opinions. have a wonderful night FP , pleasant journies, CC

I am working with a wild cube from Florida. With time I hope to have a good isolation from it. We have a network of Shroomerites throughout the world. I think that we as a community can help to improve strain variety by hunting for new Psilocybes and experimenting ourselves. Vendors have limited resources. We can help them to help us by providing them with prints and allow their master cultivators to work on strain selection. Joshua

Why not just fuck off Cubensis altogether?? They are not potent and they are always sooo meaty that they take ages to dry and when they are dry they are shit for potency. btw - Acadian Coast were domesticated by Sporeworks. Argentinian Cubensis is a nice new strain - try that.

I do understand that there may be better species than Psilocybes. However, the information available on cultivating cubensis is extensive and makes the process easier than some of the other species available. Joshua

As long as there grown on cakes and NOT in cased trays! I have concluded that the PF site is right.. Rice cakes produce about as strong of a shroom as possible (please dont ask me why)- 100% Straw cakes are as good or better.... I guess that my point is that I feel that there is WAY too much focus on strains. Lets not forget what they grow on.

Tapalpa and Wollongong are two strains introduced by the SporeLab in the past couple years. They are both excellent strains that produce healthy, potent cubensis consistently. Don't be afraid to acknowledge thetruth.

that's funny. have you even grown all of the stains before you start clamoring for more ? the simple truth is that more strains would just mean more names for very similar products that most folks can't even tell apart.

I like a mushroom that doesnt take a whole casing to get me tripping - Im not sure what you mean - many psilocybe species are great - most woodlovers and Copelandia species are fine by me. Joshua, you of all people should understand the beauty of woodlovers - why eat 25+ cubensis when you can eat five little woodlovers and trip three times as hard?? Cubensis are easy to grow but once you've grown a few you realise that they are smelly, very low on potency (to the point that you have to eat sooo many of the fuckers to get where you wanna be) and that they generally are the least smooth of any psilocybe experience one can have. With that in mind, there are some better cubensis strains - tasmanians, Golden Teachers and PES Amazonians are all potent cubensis. I dont expect you guys to agree - maybe you guys love growing out all the strains - and it can be fun, but after a while every new strain doesnt offer that much in the way of a unique mushroom - just another slightly different cubensis.
