HELP!! FLY INFESTATION!!!!!!

I ordered some compost from DR Bluethumbs and I was told that it was pasturized but after 2 days after I planted my mycelium jars I saw little flies scurring aroudn the suface of the compost. I quickly grabbed my mushroom cultivators book and saw that I had dung flies. they are hazardous to my plantation!! the book doesn say much on dealign with these pests. HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM!!! any sudestions or help is appreciated.

I dont know what your flies look like but I have little flies in my terrarium, but they come from the little ivy plant. They dont hurt anything in my terrarium tho.
