how much H2O2 is safe (what ratio) and what concentrate would you reccomend?

Yeah once you PC or steam sterilize the honeywater, it's contam free. Just peel back foil, inject, and incubate

If you are worried about contams, I'd go with a dual layer of foil on top of all my LC's. I mark the hole I use for inoculation with a black marker on both layers of the foil, peel back only one layer and shoot through the bottom layer. Haven't had any contams yet.

h2o2 doesnt belong in an LC.
if your jar looks contamed its time to throw it out and start again, its too late. h2o2 will not save it, and will only serve to harm the fragile bits of mycelium in a healthy culture.

Better. It'll kill the mycelium too!
Seriously, though, I don't know whether or not there is an amount of h202 that you could add that would kill the bacteria and not the mycelium. I would suggest that if it is contaminated to start over.

Well from PF's site I read that it will probally not kill any germinated bacteria or mold.. but endospores or any other un-germinateds will be toasted.. and myc can and will grow in H202 Check out http://www.fanaticus.com/peroxide.htm
(at least according to this hehe) So i guess... it would be useless to put it in unless I clone or innoc with myc thats already going

H202 really has no value for this hobby, especially in an LC. Don't bother. It doesn't even touch cobweb mold, which is where it got a false foothold around here, somehow.
Do a proper sterilization and work on your sterile procedures, energy/time much better spent.

Bottom line contamed LC's need to be tossed no questions. As I've said before cloning can be done with h2o2 and LC so you know this is one case in which they can certainly be combined not for the purpose of the additional added h2o2 but for the sake that it won't hurt a thing when dumping your cloned tissue/h2o2 into the LC. Separate issue I know but FYI.

Sounds good to me First step.. Need to get a good glove box built!! I wear a mask already, wash, and sterilize hands with alcohol, clean surfaces with tilex, then lysol.. clean needles knifes with alcohol .. Keep all fans off and allow no drafts in.. Have some procedures down just need a glove box built lol..

Before I eat my words: As hyphae mentioned H202 can be useful when cleaning tissue for cultures, but that's about the only use you'll see for it. Good luck.

I know that there is a tek that says to wait a day and add h2o2 but dont do it. I did it and my jars did jack but I am having LC problems all the way around right now.
