a lot of people give a shit. Detroit and St.Louis both have pretty large followings, theyve been around a long time. Cards are going to win this one. If they dont, LaRussa better be fired and kidney punched on the way out the door

Cards haven't won since the late sixties.

Gooooo Cardinals. Even if you are the Red Sox of the National League, I still want you to piss on Detroit.

They wear red and look like a pack of fucking morons. Ronnie Belliard is the Orlando Cabrera of 2006, and Scott Spiezio's flavor saver...well, it just pisses me off.

I hate the Cardinals so much.

Jeff Weaver fucking sucks. He's pitched his two best games of the year back-to-back, so we'll see if he can do it again. I think he gets rocked tonight in Detroit.

Yeah I don't see Detroit losing this game. I don't see Kenny Rogers continuing his scoreless inning streak, but I don't see Detroit losing at all.

Yeah, I dont like Rogers, and theres no doubt he's been pitching out of his mind as well. Heh. But the Cardinals are probably my least favorite team.

Lets not forget, Weaver was probably the worst pitcher in baseball for the first half of the season. I dont even think he got traded to St. Louis, he was just cut by his old team. So its not like he's anything special.

I really havent even heard of half the people pitching for St. Louis. I dont know how that kind of team can keep up w/ the tigers for very long.

Beating Verlander was insanely important for the Cards though. Robertson seems to me the most beatable of the four starters for the Tigers, whereas the other 3 have been pretty lights out.

Well, Rogers is a damn cheater (pine tar). he should have been kicked out of the game after the first inning. Sean Casey dropped his elbow into a pitch that may have been a strike. This shit is ridiculous. Cards will still win it. Weaver wont allow more than 2 runs. Cards win 5-3.

Good thing that "pine tar" stopped the Cards from hitting Rogers in innings 2-8.

yeah, but he shouldnt have been allowed to pitch after that shit. if sammy sosa hits with a corked bat, he gets thrown out. rogers is clearly caught with pine tar on his hand and is allowed to pitch the rest of the game. its bulshit really. no way you can tell me that it isnt.

Thing is he wasn't caught. He washed it off before the umps got a chance to say anything. The Cards and Tigers each have people watching the Fox broadcast, so they informed the dugout to tell him to wash it off.

yep. but they caught him with it on there before the 1st inning was over. The umps should have checked it out then. I cant use it as an excuse for losing, but he should have been thrown out.

The umps didn't catch it, and that's all that matters.
