This is inspired by Moonshoe.
One night I was wandering the Palaya at Burning Man. I think I was tripping fairly hard. I had been with my good friend but we had gotten separated at some point in the tripping darkness and I was enjoying just drifting from scene to scene. I ended up at a fire show. They had a jet engine pushing fire spouts an amazing distance into the sky. The sound of that jet engine and the explosion as the the fuel caught fire was awesome to say the least. When it lit it was almost as bright as daylight for a moment. You could see all of Burning Man city and all the hundreds of groups of people moving, dancing and tripping for miles around. I was in some kind of bliss state at that point. I was watching this from a distance with just a few people around me. Some guy was just 20 feet away or so. I wasn't paying too much attention to him. As the dark descended again and we turned away to move on we became fully aware of each other. I spoke first and said how amazed I was about what I had just experienced. He agreed and then moved away. Then he stopped and turned back to me and said. "Hey man, I'm glad you're here". I remember pure joy welling up from my heart. He meant it. I knew that. That was the highlight of one of the most amazing weeks of my trip on this planet.
Moonshoe expressed this to me in another post and I want to say it to all of you here at S&P. I'm really glad you're here. Thanks for the reminder Moonshoe.

One day, I said "Thank you," to a toll lady for giving me my change and I meant it. It totally changed my day. The next day was pretty mundane, though :/

That's awesome.
It reminds me of bonnaroo this summer. I was on LSD for the first time, and my friend had left one of the shows we were both at. So I was sitting in the grass and this old hippie couple walked by. The old dude (60s or 70s) stopped and stared at me. We both had sunglasses on, but we were in the exact same place and state of mind. We sat there staring at each other and smiling for about a minute until he left to catch up with his wife. The purple/green sky and his face is imprinted on my mind and always brings a smile to my face.
