alright to peek?

i inoculated my jars last night and they are now in a heated incubator in the dark. my problem is that i think my aquarium heater is all fucked up and the temp keeps raising and dropping. i'd like to keep checking up on it to see what my digital thermometor says, but i dont want to shed light on the jars if it hurts them or slows colonization. if i woud be able to open my closet once for about 20 seconds for a few days that would be wonderful...just to make sure everything is going good. can someone let me know if that would be alright?

yes its ok, my first batch i ever did the jars most likely spent longer out of my incubator than in it. i checked them like twice a day.

well it is not best but you really have no choice now, how else will you know if your equipment is working. that is why you should always do at least one dry run with your incubators and terraniums before actually putting innoculated substrate jars, cakes or casings in them.

human traffic is a good movie
