Lighting for pinning

Does anyone know if a black light would work well to get the mushrooms to pin and grow in the right direction?

my friend is currently using blue.
blue is working fine for him...

can't help you with black :[]

'shrooms want the blue part of spectrum and since an hour or two suffices,its plausible that a very short wavelength(in pulses?)may work. Led's on a 555 timer for you electro's.
