Misting down shit to grow shrooms?

Hi I was wandering if it is possible to mist down the outdoor shit with a hose to get mushrooms to grow from it? It has been so fcking dry lately with no rain and I can't find any mushies. If this is possible, how much water should I use, should I soak it or just moisten it?
