I have a good guide on cloning which seems easy enough. Heres what ive got, 4 different strains B+, Ecuador, creepers, and South American. I have had a good amounts of problems with potency, some are very potent eat 1/2 E and tripn fine and some it takes a good E to trip. So I want to isolate and take a clone of the more potent ones. So whats the best method to do this? Take a clone from each strain and each flush label each one and take that mushroom and write down which flush and which strain gave me the hardest trip and then just keep that LC clone? And if I do this then as long as I use that LC I should always produce as potent of shrooms?

You could try your hand at Orissa India, they're one of the most noteably potent but also difficult to grow.
I have an elephant if you wanna buy some shit. I call him Stampy.

Pithlit: sentient drugs, now that is an idea ... OneMoreRobot: Idea? It's a fuckin' reality. You know Salvia? Nigga stole my TV.

Most cubes have pretty uniform potency. I would say try bruising all your shroomies near the cap. whichever one bruises the bluest is your weiner!

yep, that's exactly part of the "problem" - finding a potent mushroom is near impossible... they vary from specimen to specimen, so even if you take a clone off a flush, eat a handful, and decide it was good potency, it doesn't garuntee the one you cloned was part of the reason the handful was potent! i guess the one exception would be if you grew some bigguns that weigh enough that a single mushroom is a sufficient dose to gauge it.
its trial and error basically. i more or less clone larger ones, or if you see particular areas where you have a big cluster with lots of fruits tightly packed - one of those are a good choice too, chances are they're real good fruiters. from there, all you can really do is grow it, cross your fingers, and hope its potent. so it takes some tries and often there's room for improvement.
luckily half pint jars and honey aren't all that expensive, and you can take several clones, keep them stored under refrigeration, and play with them til you find a killer potent one.
maybe i've just had good luck but i've noticed without fail, grows from a cloned culture are generally more potent than multispore just automatically. i think by reducing the amount of genetics to a single set, a lot more of your mycelial network's energy is conserved - it can get right down to business and turn your substrate into a uniform block, rather than all the anastamosis and incompatible strains growing side by side that might occur from multispore. remember, the traditional way was simply to swipe agar plates and isolate sectors until you had an isolated substrain - nobody has much to go on there either knowing if its going to be potent or not, its a stab in the dark, but again just working with an isolated set of genetics tends to produce better results in general regardless.
there's variance and room for improvement though, so experiment and have fun, take a few clones, grow them out, and compare. go with your favorite.
