Are you going to be burried in a Casket?
    #6177388 - 10/17/06 03:14 AM (17 years, 6 months ago)

Not me.  Fuck that.
I've already told my folks that if I go before them, make ashes of me and be done with it.
And a costly funeral proccession... fuck that too.  It doens't mean a g'damn thing; just more profits for the corpse-industry.

And with that morbid thought, i bid you all goodnight.

me too, but in my death if i had that kind of money, or my family had that kind of money, i'd rather have it go to something better than shooting my remains up into space.

I could really care less where my body ends up, because the Human Soul is eternal and doesn't play that game.
Just sayin', I don't want anyone breaking the bank or writing fat checks in order to dispose of my lifeless pile of bones. Useless, materialistic mourning process, for real. It's outdated.

Im going to donate my body to a website that I plan on making.

It will be a live streaming broadcast of me decomposing in a room as I sit in a chair. It will also have archives and highlight promos, like where an eyeball fell out, or maggots gushed out of my mouth.

My legacies will make millions.

I used to own the web name www.bumsnort.com where I planned to show a video of a bum snorting the cremated ashes of a dead jewish grandmother.

The funny thing is that I had real dead jewish grandmother ashes, given to me by my partner in crime - her grandson.... yet after talking to some lawyers they said there might be some legal repurcussions, even though they couldn't cite any off the top of their heads.

yea, im also more concerned with the music playing at my funeral and my friends and family celebrating my life not mourning my death. sure people will cry at a funeral but cry about the good times, if that makes sense. And to stay on topic, fuck that, burn my ass up and throw the ashes off a mountain, or into the ocean.

and layed to rest next to my parents and other family members.

we have a large family plot(area) in a cemetery.

I'm Scottish...
so we don't do the funeral thing!~
and we don't do grave side services either.

We have a Wake...
and we party(food and drink) and talk about the good times that we spent with the deceased.

I'd rather have people Celibrate than Morn my Death!~

I wouldn't like the idea of semi-permanently making a plot of land useless long after anyone who remembered me is gone. Cemeteries and golf courses: equally useless wastes of land in my opinion. I've just wanted to be buried in dirt, no box. Unfortunately that is not legal anywhere in the states. I guess I will just have to be cremated.

Oh, I like twigz idea. Being fert for a plant might be good. Then a year after I have been deceased, a second funeral could be attended in which my closest friends celebrate my life.

At first I didnt like the thought of being burried. I went and told people that I wanted to be burt/turned to ashes.

After a while my thought changed. I wouldnt mind my remains becoming soil and put back into circulation. At least that way some good will be made of it. The plants, trees, fungus, and bugs will put it to good use.

Also, have you ever heard any weird stories about the places where they incinerate people? Some say that they throw in multiple bodies at once. Imagine your body along with 10 others being burnt together and the remaining ashes divided up and sent out to families.

Some places have been accused and/or caught throwing the bodies out in the woods and just burning animals or other substances and sending those ashes out to families.

It would be fucked up if your family went to spread your ashes out somewhere and they weren't actually your ashes.

Im going to donate my body to a website that I plan on making.

It will be a live streaming broadcast of me decomposing in a room as I sit in a chair. It will also have archives and highlight promos, like where an eyeball fell out, or maggots gushed out of my mouth.

My legacies will make millions.

GEN-IOUS!
The other site is very good, as well.

As to how I'm goin' out: funeral pyre, Beowulf-style.

No, says the man in Washington; it belongs to the poor.
No, says the man in the Vatican; it belongs to God.
No, says the man in Moscow; it belongs to everyone.

I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something
different. I chose the impossible. I chose...
Rapture.

Either I will have myself on display in a ditch of my front lawn, or I will have a really intricate and ridiculous tombstone. Or I'll have myself nailed to a cross.

Naw, not to me. I dunno what it is, but the ashes creep me out. My ex's mother always cremated her animals when they died & I hated it so much. She had wooden boxes on her dresser full of her dead animal's ashes - I wouldn't go in her room. Then when one of her dogs died, she had him cremated & put his box with the others, but also got a small silver urn for her desk at work with his ashes in it & got a small silver vile that's like a necklace with his ashes in it & hung it from her rear-view mirror in her truck. That was just fucking insane to me.

At least when you're burried, you're in a cemetary 6 feet under like all the other dead bodies around ya marked with a headstone... not burned the fuck up & stuck in a box for someone to keep or spread somewhere. Ick... I just hate the idea of it completely.

Thats just nuts. Someone ought to tell her they are going to make a car ornament out of her ashes when she dies... nuts. I can see why that creeps you out.

Hell no!Not unless it's in a a biodegradable casket and no embalming. If you are embalmed then slowly over time you degrade into becoming a soap like goo.Nah,I don't think so.Anyway but that.

I heard (could be bullshit) That if you list your religion as Viking in the armed services, they have to give you a viking burial, in which they put your body in a canoe and hit it with a flaming arrow while it is out at sea.

Whether it's true or not, that would be a pretty good way to go.

As for that bodies exhibit, I was gonna go, but admission is like 60 bucks.
